Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment: Identify hazards related to stunts, special effects, construction, heavy equipment, and locations.
  • Policy Development: Create and enforce safety policies and procedures for the production.
  • Training & Briefings: Conduct daily safety briefings, especially before complex scenes.
  • Inspections: Check ladders, scaffolding, rigging, cables, and electrical gear before use.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry safety standards and regulations.
  • Emergency Planning: Develop and implement emergency response plans.
  • Incident Management: Investigate accidents and report incidents.
  • PPE Management: Provide and mandate appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
