The 1st Assistant Director (1st AD) is the crucial logistical force on a film set, running the show to keep it on schedule, safe, and efficient, freeing the director to focus creatively. They manage the shooting schedule, coordinate all departments (cast, crew, camera, lighting), call cues like "Action!" and "Cut," and act as the primary communicator and problem-solver, essentially managing the set's "traffic" to ensure the director's vision is executed smoothly and on time. 

A movie production assistant (PA) is an entry-level position responsible for supporting the crew with a wide range of on-set and administrative tasks, from delivering scripts and call sheets to running errands and managing the set. PAs work under the direction of the production manager, producer, or director and are crucial for keeping a production running smoothly. 

A Casting Director is responsible for selecting and hiring actors for film, television, theater, and other productions. They work closely with directors and producers to understand the vision for each character and find the best actors to bring those roles to life. This involves a range of tasks, from scouting talent and conducting auditions to negotiating contracts and ensuring diversity and inclusivity in the casting process
